I have about *400* Beanie Babies and around 50 Beanie Buddies. I was considering selling them a few months ago, but I've decided to try to wait until the market gets a little better. I was into Beanies then like I'm into AG now. I was even published a few times in Mary Beth's Beanie World Magazine!
The major thing is space. I live in a small studio apartment, all my Beanie stuff is taking up an entire room in my mom's 4-bedroom house where I grew up. My mom lives there alone now and eventually wants to move to a condo, so when she's ready to sell her house, I'll have to get rid of the Beanies no matter what. But until then I hope to wait a bit to see if the market improves.
I have several that are worth something, although nothing worth thousands or anything. The most valuable ones I have are probably Flutter, Bronty, Quacker with wings with 2nd gen tag, Libearty, Lefty and Righty, Manny, Bubbles, Tank no shell, Flash and Splash, Sly brown belly, are the ones I can think of. I invested a lot of time and $ into that collection and it would be a shame to throw it all away. I hope to get at least $1000 for my entire collection.
There is a place in IL called buyingbeanies.com and you can mail your beanies there from anywhere in the country. I was planning on taking the entire lot there and basically dumping them off. That way I wouldn't have to deal with the web at all.
Here's the website:
